You are cordially invited to the inaugural Inkwell Salon, where our special guest will be Queen of Gothic Fiction, Essie Fox!

Tuesday 15th April 2025, 6pm - 7pm UK time on Zoom.

The Inkwell Salon is an intimate space for Inkwell members to hear directly from professional authors. Hosted by me, it’s a mix of interview, conversation and Q&A that digs deep into the realities of life as a practicing writer.

Essie Fox was raised in Herefordshire, on the borders of Wales. After studying English Literature at Sheffield University she worked in magazine and book publishing, before developing a career in commercial illustration. Always an avid reader, Essie now writes gothic novels. Her debut, The Somnambulist, one of three Victorian gothic mysteries, was shortlisted for the 2012 National Book Awards, and also featured on Channel 4’s TV Book Club. Her latest, The Fascination, was an instant Sunday Times Bestseller.

Essie will be joining us on the cusp of publication of her new book, Dangerous. We’ll be chatting about the book, Essie’s journey to bestselling author, and how she’s stayed resilient through the ups and downs of her publishing career.
