REPLAY: The Inkwell Salon with Essie Fox
Real life advice on navigating publishing, blending history with fiction, and writing through tough times ✍️
Happy Easter, Inklings!
A big thank you to Essie Fox for being a superb guest at our inaugural Inkwell Salon this week, and thank you to everyone who came along on the night.
Things we talked about:
The pros and cons of working with big publishers vs small indies
The mindset shift you need when you’re submitting to agents
How to navigate the changing landscape in publishing
Why you should write regardless of outcome
The ups and downs of a long-term writing career
And the inside scoop on Essie’s new book, Dangerous!
It was a really fun and informative session. The replay is available for all Inkwell members below. Keep scrolling! ⬇️

Our next workshop will be Tuesday 27th May, 6pm - 7pm (UK time)
This will be a Reset session, where I’ll take you through a guided practice to help you reflect on your writing progress and set new goals and intentions for the summer months ahead.
With school holidays, getaways and more sunshine 🤞 (in the Northern hemisphere, at least), the summer months can be full of distractions and interruptions to our regular writing routine. How can we keep writing in a way that supports our goals but recognises limitations? That’s just one of the questions we’ll be exploring. This is a nourishing but practical session. Come prepared to think deeply about your own practice, and leave with fresh motivation for the months ahead.
p.s. Want bespoke 1-1 support with your writing? I have two spots available for a May start! Revolutionise your writing here.
