WORKSHOP: How To Deal With Feedback
Join me and Sanjida for a workshop on handling editorial feedback ✍️
Dear Inklings,
This month we have a very special treat: a guest workshop with Sanjida O’Connell.
Sanjida recently wrote this insightful and practical article about dealing with feedback, and this workshop will delve deeper into the subject.
Most writers will receive feedback at some point, from fellow writers, mentors, agents and editors, or reviewers. This can range from glowing praise to hurtful hatchet jobs, with everything in between. It’s a rollercoaster! But what happens when even the most well-intentioned criticism makes you doubt every word? How do you handle the emotions that stop you in your tracks. And how do you know what to do next? These are just some of the questions we’ll be discussing.
Sanjida and I will be in conversation, but there’ll be plenty of time for your questions too. Plus, we’ll be welcoming writers from Sanjida’s community for this one-off event.
Trust me – you don’t want to miss this!
